Hi Jacki, I'm looking to learn the same kinds of things that some of the others want to learn too, However, I'd also like to know how other records managers are managing physical records--we still have them as they haven't gone away. Everyone is talking about email and electronic records--and yes, we need to figure out how to manage them too, but what solutions are folks using for paper?

Jacki - I really like the iconference you set up. I'm looking for the Education twitter hashtag next, for updates and communication before, during, and after the Conference. Just about a week to go everyone!!!!

Hi Donna! Looking forward to seeing you too! I think the iconference site has the potential to fill a good bit of the void left after the dissolution of the ISGs, especially since it will be supported all year (not just during conference). Takes a little getting used to, but I think the general functionality is there.

I think I am going to continue my Yahoo group though - the ability to host polls and documents are things that I think my industry group would miss if we only used iconference. Overall, however I'm really pleased with what ARMA has come up with here!

Thanks Richard. To me, it seems like it might work even better if *some* parameters are put around this group, otherwise I fear it might become too diverse that it's hard to follow.

To me, this seems like the best spot to talk about facilitation (sharing ideas and techniques for getting the most out of your presentations) and to talk about education delivery options. I think education topics are probably better served within the topic groups.

Just my two (or three) cents!

Julie, I'm very excited about iConference. At ARMA Orlando Conference & Expo I want to learn what my peers are doing for e-discovery, e-records retention and find out what they want to learn in the next year. The Energy Group like to share information and we would enjoy ARMA International hosting a social networking site through the year. I hope that the Board will approve our request.

I am looking forward to seeing you at Conference.

Julie, we're still experimenting with this whole site, and with this Education group in particular. I think we create what we'd like the site to be: facilitators collaborating; people talking about what kinds of education and information they need; what trends they're seeing that need to be addressed this year and next at conference; better/different ways of providing information and education; engaging content experts and asking them to weigh in here on some of the issues. Lots of potential uses.

The industry-specific groups are being used for the above, as well as vehicles for continuing the discussions throughout the year--not just for conference.

Is this a spot for facilitators to collaborate, or a spot to talk about education topics? Sorry ... I don't really get it!
